World of Meln

Well, I'm not sure how many of you few who read the forum have ever played or heard about Mount&Blade, but here is some information about the game. Well, the point is it's easily moddable and fun game. I have been trying to learn modding it for some time now. The mod would be based on my own idea and in my own fantasy world.

But then, when I looked at WotBS today I got an idea; mod about Meln! With as much information as there is about the world it wouldn't be much of a job to plan the mod and creating map would be easy too as there is so well done for Meln too. Well, of course it's fantasy world with magic and many races but they don't seem to be so important and few spells + some elf faces have been done for other mods so it shouldn't be so hard getting some of those things to game. So, it doesn't seem so even so hard I, with my little skills, couldn't do it.

Well, players of M&B would get one more mod and I believe that if I would do my work well, I could get some people interested about Meln and new players for WotBS...

Very interesting and good idea, go for it! Any means available must be used to return life to Meln again. If you need any help, I'm sure at least we creators could give you a helping hand.

Yea, sure you can give much help. The whole information about world of Meln is already great help.

Well, but then where in Meln should the mod be placed? Same area as in WotBS would be good I guess? And which time period? War of the Black Sun sound like natural answer but on the other hand that would probably be bit harder to do. That would maybe need adding giants and dwarfs that are impossible for M&B at this moment. Maybe after that?

So, if map was moon island and its surroundings and about human nations that fought against each other there at start of The age of three moons? Well, I guess it would help if I got map of that area on certain moment with current nations marked there and their cities and maybe castles and villages, if you are not gonna let me try to create the names... Not only I hate that kind of job but I'm bad at it too... And maybe list of their leaders and other nobles? And knowing who is at war with who would help too as information of military of each nation too... Or is that all too much asked? Sure I can get much information from the website but about nations that were born and fell at that time like there is written in history there doesn't seem to be much information.
