Nadea is the northest port city of Alcandia. This little fishing town has about 1100 citizens and town is built in pretty sheltered bay, whose protection has been improved by little breakwaters. In southern side of town outside the city wall shore raises for nearly vertical 12 meters high rock. This high rock is a good place to lookout to sea. Nadea is surrounded by 8 meters high and 3 meters thick stone wall. From the first the wall was built against barbarians living in north. Houses are made of sturdy logs above stone foundations.
Rocks in the southern side of the town have many water hollowed caves. These caves were used as refuges during the war of the Black sun. The caves are very labyrinthine and in many places also narrow and rough road.
Karanus Merak has little horse stable inside the city walls and he also has horses for sale.
Rudos Andes owns big reindeer farm. Rudos is well known among town people and he knows very much about the town matters. He, however, has some horrible event in his past, which people are whispering about.
The town is ruled by baron Hendol, who lives in large house inside the city walls. Baron is not well known and he spends most of his time outside the town. Baron has own small guards, which takes care of his own safety, but also helps defending the town if needed.
Nadea differs from other Alcandian cities in that there people mainly worship Thaim, the cruel master of seas. All residents of Nadea greatly respect sea, which gives them their living in harsh northern climate.
Main occupations in Nadea are fishing and reindeer breeding. The land near Nadea is very rough and is not suitable for farming. Few reindeer farms produce meat and pelts for people. Many citizens also hunt to gain extra living. Furs are common trading goods and sometimes even svea-barbarians can be seen trading in town. Merchant ships are rare and bigger ships that stop by Nadea, mostly just fill their storage for journey to the north.
